Haleakala Bike Trips:
The SUNRISE TRIP… Haleakala means “House of the Sun” in Hawaiian, and a very popular adventure is going to see sunrise from 10,023 feet at the crater’s rim. Spectacular! Tour begins with hotel P/U around 2-3:00AM. Take a van tour to the Summit of Haleakala to view the sunrise from the rim of the crater. Continental Breakfast served after Sunrise, and includes hot coffee, juice, and pastries. Enjoy a comprehensive tour of Haleakala National Park, then proceed to the 6,800 foot level where you are expertly fitted to your bike and begin your 28 mile bike ride down the mountain. You will ride through haleakala Ranch, the upcountry towns of Kula and Pukalani, and will be stopping at Polli’s Restaurant in Makawao for Breakfast. Polli’s is charging $10.00 per person for a full breakfast, including gratuity. After breakfast and a walking tour of this unique historical town, you will continue your bike ride through sugar cane and pinapple fields continuing down to the pacific ocean ending at Paia Beach Park. No Children Riders Under 12, however they can ride in the van and still enjoy the tour!
The EXPRESS SUNRISE 28 MILE TRIP… see sunrise then van down to Hosmer’s Grove and start biking from there. Meal is “no-host” pay your own.
The CRATER DAY 28 MILE TRIP… same as the full sunrise trip, but for those who don’t want to get up at 2AM!
The SELF-PACED 28 MILE TRIP… Meet at Starbucks in Kahului at 8am. Van up to the top of Haleakala. Van back to Park Headquarters & then take off on your own & bike to sea level.
