Talk about incredible! An adult weighs in at an average of 40-45 TONS! These humpbacks can leap completely out of the water… UP into the air… then SPLASH!!! WOW! I personally love watching the Humpback Whales cruising in competition pods, where the strongest Males win, and the prize is the ready to mate Female. Mother’s birth their young and teach them all they need to learn in the warm Hawaii waters, especially in the Maui Marine Preserve. This is a must do if you are here during December through April!
